Preschool

1. Play with classmates using basic problem solving skills (using words instead of hands, sharing, taking turns, etc.)

2. Play independently

4. Maintain attentiveness in a small group setting for small increments of time (3-5 minutes)

5. Feel comfortable in a group setting and confident to share their ideas with their teachers and classmates

6. Be able to identify and communicate their emotions to their teachers and classmates

7. Follow classroom rules and use materials in a safe and appropriate way

8. Be able to handle transitions from one activity to the next

9. Listen attentively to a story

10. Recognize some of the upper and lower case letters

11. Recognize some printed numbers and count to 10

PreK

14. Hold pencil correctly

15. Maneuver scissors with some degree of accuracy

16. Name basic colors and shapes

17. Recognize their name

18. Be able to print their first name using upper and lower-case letters

19. Be able to look at a book from left to right

20. Be able to identify the beginning and end of a book

21. Be able to recognize and complete a pattern (example: red, blue, orange, red, blue, orange, red, blue, _____ and so forth)

22. Maintain attentiveness in group setting for small increments of time (5-10 minutes)

23. Overall children will have a desire to learn and look forward to attending school!
