John 20:30–31 (NKJV)
And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

What do you believe about Jesus?
This truly is the most important question that anyone can be asked. It really is a question of life or death. As John wrote, but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. In John’s recording of the words of Christ, he didn’t mince words when it came to the explanation of who He was. Jesus said things like… “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”…“Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”…“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”…“I and My Father are one.”... "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Jesus made it clear that eternal life was to be found only through Him, God in flesh. In John’s recording of the words and life of Christ, he desired to make the true identity of Jesus Christ known to all who would hear, that they might believe in Him and receive eternal life in His name.
